My name is Reneigh Gerow, and Pilates exercise helped me make a full recovery after sustaining a serious back injury over 20 years ago. With a desire to keep Pilates in my body, and to help others, I became a STOTT certified instructor in 2011. I operated and ran a studio in the Shuswap BC, until my husband and our 2 teenage children moved to Salt Spring Island in 2017. I opened 'Salt Spring Way Pilates' right away, and can honestly say, I love teaching STOTT Pilates! It is truly an honour to work with each person. Private Reformer Pilates
This popular one-on-one class is based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. Utilizing the V2 Max Reformer, as well as small equipment on the mat, together we create a program designed specifically to meet your needs and goals. All of the classes at Salt Spring Way Pilates attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.
Pilates Group Mat
This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. The flow centres around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a range of levels. Mat class size is limited to 3 people, and is available to all existing private Reformer clientele as a supplementation to their private Reformer repertoire. Using small equipment such a foam rollers, flex bands, various balls and fitness circles, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.
